Edward Kelley

Co-Founder & Chairman

Edward has been with Edward W Kelley & Partners in the Middle East since its beginning in 2006. With over 35 years’ experience in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, North and Latin America, Edward is a proven leader in management consulting and the executive search industry. He has been assisting Boards, CEOs and executive teams identify and execute growth strategies and turnarounds through innovation, acquisitions, culture change and the adoption of new technologies.

Alongside his position as Chairman, Edward was the Program Director & Faculty Chair at the Citadel Directors’ Institute for almost a decade, responsible for a training programme for Directors of American public companies.

Expertise: Senior executive coaching, Board advisory, succession strategies for key positions, alignment of Board and executive committees with new strategies, advisory on post-merger integrations and leadership coaching of Chairmen and CEO’s.

Mohammed Moumena

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

A Saudi national, Mohammed co-founded Edward W Kelley & Partners in the Middle East in December 2006. With over 25 years’ work experience, his career comprised the management of a family conglomerate within real estate, hospitality and contracting in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom as well as vast experience in the areas of asset management, healthcare, strategy, governance, human capital and investment.

In cooperation with Edward W. Kelly and Partners International, Mohammed advanced the Middle Eastern company to offer specialisations such as the restructuring of family businesses, the development of policies and procedures for human capital, the evaluation of executive competencies and compensation, and the design and implementation of leadership development.

Expertise: Talent management of C-suite executives and Board members for retail, real estate, financial services, industrial, construction, government, semi-government and family conglomerates, in the GCC region and specifically in Saudi Arabia.

Patrick Alexander

Board Director

After a career in industry, trading and executive search, Patrick Alexander was closely involved with establishing the company in 2007. He is based in London and Jeddah and has over 35 years of search experience in Western & Central Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

His primary focus throughout his career has been on the financial sector, including commercial, retail and investment banking, insurance, and asset management, but he has also worked with industrial and retail businesses, most recently in Saudi Arabia and the GCC region. His assignments have been with multilateral organisations, publicly owned corporates and family businesses.

Vience Boon-Theunis

Principal

Vience joined the company in 2014 in a dual role as executive search consultant and administration manager. She has over 16 years’ experience in the local and international executive search industry, working on global sourcing of C-suite and Director talent in a variety of industry sectors such as retail, FMCG, insurance, family conglomerates and hospitality for clients based in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Besides working as an executive search consultant, Vience has been instrumental in the administrative operation and advancement of the company along with overseeing the quality of the company’s database. Vience is based Dubai in the UAE.
Expertise: executive search for C-suite executives, Directors and Board members, candidate and client management with a strong focus on Saudi Arabia and the GCC market.

Dr Ian Jones

Managing Director

Dr Ian Jones has over 30 years of senior human capital experience in recruitment and selection from Saudi Arabia, the GCC region, United Kingdom, North Africa and Europe.

He has senior leadership assessment experience in sectors such as healthcare, telecommunications, retail, banking, finance, oil and gas, tourism and government. Based in Scotland, Ian specialises in leading and delivering successful organisational change.

Expertise: organisational behaviour, talent management including executive search recruitment, selection and development, leadership development, quality improvement and clinical service development.

Hala Mohanna

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Hala Mohanna joined the company in 2007 and has over 14 years’ experience in local and international executive search for senior executives and C-suite talent.

Her sectorial search experience includes a wide range of industries such as retail, real estate, financial services professional services, industrial, energy, construction & contracting, education and healthcare & public sector. Hala is based in Lebanon.

Expertise: recruitment, global sourcing of candidates, client- and candidate relations.

Based in the USA, Jim Ferrier has over 35 years’ experience in human capital, predominantly in the healthcare field having worked with some of the largest organisations globally and in the Middle East.

With a background in financial services, retail and the entertainment industry, Jim has lived and worked all over the world, amassing experience from over 40 countries and numerous cultures.

Expertise: human capital with a focus on maximising personnel assets, healthcare management, increasing productivity through enlightened employee and labour relations, effective communications, recruiting practices and enhanced employee retention strategies.
